We do our third episode about Classic Who, the Tomb of the Cybermen. Because the Cybermen buried themselves in Egyptian-style, trap-filled caves.

Welcome to Episode 60 covering Classic Who Season 5 episodes 1-4: The Tomb of the Cybermen.

Super-short Recap

This is the one where the Doctor discovers Cybercicles, the worst flavor of popsicle ever.

The Doctor, Jamie, and Victoria land on a planet and meet an expedition trying to find the ancient tomb of the Cybermen. Inexplicably, he agrees to help the expedition. After two people die, they decide to abandon the mission, but something strange is happening. The spaceship has been sabotaged and Klieg insists on continuing the search.

They find the cybermen frozen in stasis and Klieg thaws and wakes them so they can combine forces with the Brotherhood of Logicians. The Cybermen have…. different plans. They will alter the humans to make a new race of Cybermen to rule the Earth.

After some fighting, and shooting, and jiggery pokery, the Doctor manages to re-seal the Tomb of the Cybermen, but not before just about everyone from the expedition dies.

The end.

    • Cybermat
  • I’m sorry
    • Episode count:
  • Impossible
  • Jiberty Jaberty
    • If you take any progressive series, it can be converted into binary notation. If you take the sum of the integrants, and express the result as a power series, then the indices show the basic binary blocks. But I wouldn’t do it.
    • When the northern hemisphere is tangential
    • Boolean function of symbolic logic
  • Jiggery Pokery
    • TARDIS –
      • What happened to the TARDIS?!?! It looks like it sat at the bottom of the ocean for a few years.

Other stuff we noticed

  • Different (Freaky) Intro
    • Doctors face
  • As you know the Cybermen died out thousands of years ago. Which is why they are the second most recurring enemies

Who’s Who?

  • Who are the Cybermen?
    • Who is Jamie?
      • Scottish
    • Who is Victoria Waterfield?
      • She doesn’t like cubic food much
    • Who is The Doctor?
      • Around 450 years in earth terms
      • He has a special technique of keeping his eyes open and his mouth shut.
      • Difference between first and second Doctor. All that jibberty jabberty but the first Doctor would of said “bet you didn’t think of that hmmm.”
      • It’s a Cybermat. What’s a Cybermat? One of those.
      • He only remembers his family when he actively chooses to.
      • He likes a pun – They’ve had a complete metal breakdown.
